Schools family support service require a School Family Support Worker that is robust energetic positive and enthusiastic . The support provided will need a whole family approach, and will be available to families in need of Early Help (Level 2 and 3 – see Liverpool’s Responding to Need Guidance and Levels of Need Framework). Liverpool Schools purchase our service therefore the successful candidate will be linked to 5 schools who will send in referrals in order to support families with issues such as attendance, behaviour , mental health etc The purpose of the support is to prevent needs escalating and to enable families to develop their own strategies to cope well. The Schools Family Support Service is a key contributor of early help arrangements and the team effectively work with families to avoid escalation of concerns. This includes direct work with both young people and their parents/carers who have identified that they need support and have requested additional support through their Childs school. The role will also involve offering support to our multi agency partners who need assistance to complete early help assessments. We will work as part of a team providing parenting support, offering advice and guidance to families and professionals and maintaining contact as the Lead Professional. Applicants should have experience of direct work with children, assessing levels of needs, providing direct support to families in their homes and within the school settings the worker will also need experience of multi-agency, partnership working.

You must have:
- Post qualified experience.
- Enhanced DBS/Update service.
- References required for the last 2 years of employment
