To assist the Home Manager & Service Manager, in ensuring that the home operates in such a way which maximises the potential for resolving young people’s problems and encourages their healthy development.
Average of 37.3h per week
To provide an environment which is conducive to young people with challenging behaviour, and manage the home effectively to ensure that the children are looked after professionally and appropriately in a warm, caring and therapeutic environment, consistent with company policy, service sector objectives and purchasing requirements.
Demonstrate leadership and efficient organisation and management of your shift team within appropriate professional standards and ensure professional behaviours are observed throughout your staff team by promoting and following appropriate internal policies, practices and procedures and ensuring their professional / personal development takes place.
Ensure and promote correct & effective administrative and record keeping systems to provide sound management practice and to facilitate effective communications between each team and with the senior management team.
Responsible for effective liaison with home manager & service manager to ensure that a coherent approach is adopted towards childcare planning for children within the home.
To ensure that the relevant keyworker updates Placement plans, Health needs and Risk assessments accordingly and on a regular basis.
As directed, provide management returns to the home manager or service manager, so that effective monitoring of the quality provided and resources required can be achieved.
Be responsible for the maintenance of the buildings and grounds and the safe systems of work are adhered to whilst on shift. Ensure that conditions are both safe and healthy and that the environment is pleasant, comfortable and homely.
